Directions for Use

As a dietary supplement for adults, take one (1) vegetable capsule up to two times daily, between meals, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.



What is GABA used for?

GABA is a neurotransmitter in your brain that blocks certain signals produced by your neurons. It produces a calming effects which is why it is used for conditions such as anxiety, insomnia and certain neurological disorders. When taken before exercise, GABA may also increase Human Growth Hormone. However, GABA does not readily cross the Blood Brain Barrier which means that only small amounts reach the brain (if any). Despite this, there has been reported benefits of GABA.

How much GABA should I take?

Typical doses range from 500mg to 1000mg daily or in divided doses depending on your needs, but you might want to start with 500mg daily. Take for 2 weeks to assess effect.

When should I take GABA?

If you're using for sleep, take before bed. If using for anxiety, take when required. If using for sports, take before workout. GABA can be taken with or without food.

What are the side effects and precautions of GABA?

GABA is generally very safe and even if you experience any side effects, it will be very mild. The most common side effects are drowsiness and stomach upset. People who have neurological disorders or are taking any medicines that affect the brain (especially benzodiazepines and opioids) should not take GABA before consulting a doctor.
