Yes. They are the same, but zinc bisglycinate is more specific as 2 molecules of glycine are bonded to one zinc atom.
There hasn't been enough studies to conclude which one is better. However both have exceptional bioavailability and either one would be fine. Zinc bisglycinate may have a slightly better absorption.
You can take zinc anytime, and since zinc bisglycinate has a high bioavailability, it technically does not matter if you take it with or without food. If it causes stomach upset, take with food. Moreover, Zinc can be taken at night to increase muscle synthesis in ZMA combination.
