What are Lifting Grips?

Lifting Grips are a form of Lifting Straps but they provide a better grip and are easier to use. They are typically made of leather or rubber.

Should I use a Lifting Grip?

The purpose of Lifting Grips is to lessen the demand of the grip while allowing you to focus more on other aspects of a lift, such as motion, focusing your strength etc. If you're lifting weights to a certain point where you feel like you need some help then a lifting strap or grip would definitely be of use.

Difference between Lifting Strap and Lifting Grip?

Lifting Straps are generally made from cotton and nylon material, and has a longer strap as compared to a grip. This means that it would definitely not feel as comfortable as a Lifting Grip and that you would need to spend a lot more time wrapping the bar with the Strap (a pain in the ass). Furthermore, moisture will seep through cotton and nylon, lowering its durability. Coupled with the lack of padding and double stitching that Lifting Grips offer, Lifting Straps are significantly less durable. Of course, that also means there will be a huge price difference.

How do I find the right size?

There are two things to consider, the wrist circumference and padding length. You'll want to make sure that the Lifting Grip is wrapped around your wrist properly and that the pad reaches around the joint just above your palm when you stretch your hand flat. This means you should definitely visit our stores and give it a try unless you know what you need exactly.
